About Kristopher McDowell
Kristopher has been in the industry for over twenty years. A native of California, he was raised around the performing arts and as a young actor worked in commercials for television and earned a reputation as a singer and promising young cabaret performer.
As a concert producer he has presented Tony® Nominee Sharon McNight, Luba Mason, Heather MacRae, Mark Nadler, KT Sullivan, Wesla Whitfield, Mike Greensill, Cindy Benson, Stephanie Pope, Ed Alstrom and other luminaries. McDowell has also produced or served as company manager for productions of AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, RUTHLESS! The Musical and AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'.
In the past, McDowell has played five solo cabaret acts around the United States and at to the Jermyn Street Theatre in London. As a stage performer he was honored with a Dean Goodman Award for Leading Actor in a Musical (ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT… at 42nd Street Moon) 2006 and nominated for a Manhattan Association of Cabaret (MAC) Award for Outstanding Male Debut 2001. In addition to a short lived solo recording career and can be heard on two compilation recordings that benefit worthy causes.
His education includes a combination of schools having attended programs at Empire State College, NY; American Music and Dramatic Academy, NY and Fordham University at Lincoln Center, NY.
